Bio

Research Professor at the ITHQ since 2019 and father of three daughters, Jean-Charles Marin was an officer for the Royal 22e Régiment for 20 years. During his military career, he was an educator for the Canadian Forces School of Management for 9 years. He has also been deployed abroad several times.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Royal Military College of Canada in International Relations, also holds a Law Certificate from the Université de Montréal, an MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke and a Ph.D. in strategy, project and program management from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Lille (SKEMA). His post-doctoral studies at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue focussed on the identification of territorial strategies using the theory of approximate sets based on dominance for the purpose of sustainable development.

His research and teaching interests cover employee experience, organizational strategy, operations research and quantitative research. He is also interested in research ethics issues.
