- Includes a total of 3 605 hours, including 2 490 hours of coursework and 1 115 hours of compulsory internships

Hands-on experience
Compulsory internships
Depending on your interests and career path, you can choose between the following 2 tracks:
International track
If you choose the International track, you will need to complete the following internships:
- Year 1: 10-week (350 h) paid English immersion summer internship outside Québec
- Year 2: 12-week (420 h) paid or gratified international summer internship (subject to obtaining the required visa)
- Year 3: unpaid end-of-studies internship supervising a work team. Lasting 15 weeks (345 h), this internship takes place during the last course session, 3 days a week.
Career track
If you choose the Career track, you will need to:
- Accumulate 770 hours of practical hotel experience between the end of the 2nd and the start of the 6th course session. These hours can be worked as part of a summer or part-time job during the school year.
- Complete an unpaid end-of-studies internship in supervising a work team. Lasting 15 weeks (345 h), this internship takes place during the last course session, 3 days a week.
Practical applications
- Throughout the training course: practical applications in reception, concierge and housekeeping at Hôtel de l’ITHQ and partner hotel establishments.

Articulation agreement
If you have a DCS from the ITHQ, you can access the Applied Bachelor in Hospitality and Hotel Management or the Baccalauréat en gestion du tourisme et de l’hôtellerie ITHQ-ESG UQAM and get your university degree in 2 years instead of 3
To benefit from this agreement, you must have a minimum R-score cut-off of 26 and meet all program admission requirements.

To be eligible for this program, you must:
- Have a Secondary School Diploma (DES) or equivalent education, OR
- Have a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) and successfully completed the Secondary 5 language of instruction courses, the Secondary 5 second language and Secondary 4 mathematics courses (Culture, société et technique CST 4e – 063404 or equivalent).
- Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written French.

Admission application procedure
- Applicants must ensure that they meet the program’s admission requirements before submitting their application.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
- For your admission file to be considered complete, it must contain a copy of all the official documents required by the ITHQ in accordance with your status, as listed above.
- These documents must be legible and saved in PDF format. Documents in a language other than French or English must also be accompanied by a certified translation into French or English.
- Some documents required by the ITHQ may not be requested automatically on the admission platform. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure that all the documents on the list in accordance with your status have been uploaded to your file before submitting your application.
